How I work
Five working principles, the places I have said them out loud, and the work that does not need a case study. Also a firm believer in "yes, and".
Principles
01
Research is not a phase
I like to be involved in research. Listening to calls, diary studies, walkthroughs. The design is only as honest as its evidence.
02
Show the working
Every recommendation traces back to something a person said or did. A 5-person research team in Haryana, 16 listening calls, walkthroughs on a live floor. If I cannot show the working, it does not ship.
03
Walkthroughs as tests
A walkthrough is a live usability test of a service that does not exist yet. Run it before anything is built.
04
Design as seva
Show up, listen, serve the problem. Seva is the closest description of the job I have found.
05
Co-creation is how I work
Blueprints co-created with ops leads, SOP libraries co-built with clinical teams, PRDs written with the people who run the floor. The service is better when the people who deliver it help design it.
Talks, panels, writing
